Right i'm not getting any spark at the plugs!

New NGK plugs
High performace HT leads

The order is correct.

Ive noticed the starter motor is making some (on its way out) noises but is still turning!

I took the dizzy cap off and it was clean, The thing is should the rotor arm spin fast???
I turned it over while the cap was removed and the rotor arm is turning really slowly! I would have thought it should spin really fast to hit the points on the cap!

Are you checking spark from the king lead or from any of the HT leads as it doesn't matter how fast the rotor arm goes round if your not getting any spark to the dizzy cap.

Which is the king lead?? I used the lead going to the plug on the rhs of the engine (looking from the front)

If i use a volt meter on the end of the knig (main) lead and ground should i be getting 12/13 volts when turning over???

"Could be leads, king lead, AEI, AEI relay, overboost circuit short..."

From the other thread.

This means checking/replacing king lead, swapping AEI over for a known good one, replacing AEI relay (in scuttle panel under bonnet catch) and disconnecting the overboost circuit from the AEI.

Then report.
