View Full Version : R21T ..Raider ..... - Derbyshire - £750 to sell !!!
The GTA race build is eating cash and I need to get something bigger for to tow stuff about so I'm putting the 21 up for sale .I don't use it that much anyway working from home ..well sort of work ;)
I have a folder full of bills from SAS showing it being well looked after pre me .
It has a couple of little cosmetic issues on the original ' Raider blue ' ,nothing a good weekend would not solve .Uprated bits and bobs but all sensible and shows good pressure ,cool running with a new rad about a year ago .Turbo still pulls well ,I fitted new rear pads/disks for last MOT and that was it .
I will give it a wash and post up some 'as now' pics tomorrow .3

from what i know of you clee , your a bit of a (if i can do it myself i will) much like myself..
therefore id purchase a 406 td or somthing along them lines, then stick a bosch fuel pump (£50 from loomes), then stick veg in it.. Perfect towing car, parts a plenty (must be 10 of them engines in loomes at once).. cheap as chips to run, and very comfy. If you wanted a giggle you can even extract quite good power from the engines using a mix and match of diffrent turbos etc, but more than anything cheap cheap cheap, and they never really rot etc.
Always a bump just to say a very nice 21 there, its a shame that there just dosent seem to be a huge interest in these, i would of had one by now if my drive was big enough.

I'm suprised there is no interest at all :scratch: Only the guy I bought it from is interested in having it back as he knows just how good a one it is :D
Not considered the pugs ,was looking at something German or Mondeo estate but will have a nose :agree:

I've still got it and have just had sills repaired and other welding to keep it in good order,new expansion tank and new MOT ....But ....I have not got anywhere fast with the GTA of late and until that is ready I think I'll hang on to it for now .Better the devil you know and all that ;)
It will still be up for sale as soon as I know I NEED a tow car ;)
Right.... time to re-advertise this and get it gone .
In the interim I have had both rotten sills repaired and been using it as a bit of a **** shifter/Mobile GTA repairs wagon so the boot carpet is a bit iffy .
New water pump last month .Swapped out turbo hotside still there , .36 but on t34 thing so bolt on a .48 and whosh .
Tested the chip mod and tbh not much diff to std PH3 but board is modded so another one could go in no bother .
Runs a bit rich ,Scoffski popped her on the rollers last Thursday and we made a few adjustments to pressure reg .On the way back home I got 5mpg more so going in the right direction .
Needs to go as I need a tow/repair work daily and just have not got the room for any more cars ....Thinking about Volvo estate to replace and a yard full of GTAs.
Best come see but offers around £1100 takes her away today .Only slight issue apart from idle hunt is wiper timer relay has mind of it's own at the mo ,ohh and crappy handbrake ,common problem .
MOT till Nov 12 and 4 months tax left .
I'm around most days working at home on GTAs so just call to arrange viewing .

Sarah already said she would kill me when i looked at buying paceys (that local one), i think she would burn it , i do have a spot for em though, an itch to scratch :cry:

Starter is still sticking in thrown-out position ...but was new in August so will whip it off and hopefully get replacement under guarantee .

do it deej! i seen a nice mx5 going through walton today expecting some hairdresser behind the wheel until i noticed it was you LOL!
Starter swapped under warranty so spins up fine again :)
Plenty of boot space so can easily carry a bag full of product and coiffier equipment ....
Is it me or the car that puts people off :laugh:
I really can't believe the zero interest in this ...perhaps this is the 5 gtt owners club after all ;)

Slaguna estate imminent ,new unit to pay for and 10 GTAs on the drive + neighbors are giving me grief .

Its a bargain for £650 cant be too many of them left, unfortunately ive already got 3 renaults in my fleet and time, space and money are lacking. :coffee:
Goodluck with the sale mate, just wondering if a full ticket would help it sell? although reducing price and forking out for new mot doesnt make economical sense. :)
There's seemingly just no call for these cars any longer. I assume due to their low numbers and a lack of general knowledge about them.
There are 3 on Gumtree, none on eBay, 1 on Autotrader and 2 on Pistonheads (one of which is the Autotrader car).
That's six for sale across the UK, including Clee's.
No doubt Clee's 21 is worth more than £650 but finding someone who wants to take it on at any price is obviously difficult.

Collected the 21 today, a big thank you to Clee, always replied to PM's/txts fast, collected me from the trainstation.
Car did 212miles home with no problems at all 70-80mph most of the way and got 34mpg so did better than my Mondeo did and that was a Diesel!!
