Hello there im back after a break away and i have searched the boards looking a to know how many R5 gtt raiders are left. The last count seems to be 360/1000 made
I have a raider and had planned restoring it, but i have no space and no job. So need it gone!!

The simple answer is "no one knows" :(
RaiderGTTurbo is the onle guy in the UK who has got a numbered certificate for his Raider & the only people who have seen that are him & Lord Lucan :laugh:

I know :( even when i was a paid member last year i couldnt find out!!!
Didn't look through the article section then as its been there since february 2009 with vehicle count.

One of only 124 raiders left in the world.
how do we know this to be true ?
so that other member is saying that has hes car up for £9500

I reckon there are more than 124 on the road, plus god knows how many there are off road in garages, on bricks etc....
Nobody can even confim there were only 1000 made, let alone 500 on g reg, 500 on h.... even tho there are ( reg ones out there....

yea well its was 360 so i would go with that really cant see there being 124

If you want to sell a vehicle on here we have a classifieds section to sell vehicles for paid members, join up and you will have more luck in getting people interested in your car as people look in there if they are after a car not random threads.

Are we including the European ones too or just the UK models ?
Best and most accurate way to find out is go door to door round the country asking.
Or find out how many are on the road (legally) then find the amount produced then take say 10% off that total for scrap/crashes maybe more... then you will have a rough idea :agree:

Thought we did with the last person that checked the Dvla =360 total won't it ?????
who was the lad that tried to out do 'duncs' (when he owned the j plate low mileage white 5) and claimed he had a sub 9k raider????

They weren't 'Raiders' in Europe.
I assume the only differences between the Alain Orielle edition and the UK Raider were the left hand drive, battery on the other side, radio and the lack of rear window sticker?
I take it we are only talking about UK models concerning numbers built etc ? :-)

See I no on the s1rs turbos there was 8500 built and only 5000 come to the uk they ain't numbered but Rs owner club says there are less than 290 left surely some one no"s how many were bought in to the uk!

Is there any of the gte over here in the uk can't tell I have ever seen one in person ?
The GTE was a 1.7 in raider blue with gt turbo kit on it.
They did a few GTE in Electric Blue as well, they have side decals with small Scorpion logos on them, a garage near Cheddar Gorge had one which had been imported but had been in an accident. I have the photos of it on Photobucket :-)

as renault never kept a list of how many raiders were built we were never know.They should have put numbers on them like the clio williams 1 but they also made more of them than the 400 they said so what can you do:)i put it down to being a french product:)

Same as my old v6 clio was numbered 730 but apparently only 500 ph1 were made.. mine was a uk car, then went out to be shipped overseas then never went and re registerd as a uk car .... bizzare ehhh

I give up on this one will never find out the real number made or sill around
At the end of the day it's just paint ,cloth and a couple of badges so not overly suprising they were not numbered or kept record of .
Get the right paint ,seats and some gel badges and you'll have a raider .... whereas new body panels ,engine changes ,paint combo and number 1 to 26 and you'll have rhd Lemans GTA ...or even rarer a Magny-Cours ....

i think the gt turbo itself not just the raider wasnt available in Germany.
The whole raider hype makes me hate them, I love all colourd gt turbos but everyone always bangs on about how 'rare' a raider is. Most gt turbos for sale are usually raiders, think I now hate the word raider as well, ad rather a lecky blue. :p
Can we go for a Renault 5 GT Turbo 449 :)
