Megane II idle issue

Our Megane II 1.4 has developed an annoying fault... when starting the car the revs drop so low the engine stalls. This only happens on start up if the car has been running recently, doesnt happen when starting from cold.

Is this something that some fuel cleaning additives will rectify?

Clean throttle body allways a good place to start with a fault like that. also costs nothing ;)

This is a similar problem that ours is having. If its going to do it it only does it when the engines cold, and it doesn't happen all the time? I've replaced the plugs and all 4 pencil coild but no change. I might clean the throttle body........ :rolleyes:

Does yours actually cut out tho Alex or just lumpy?

Sometimes it does actually cut out straight away.
