View Full Version : How do i check WOT afr reading.

As title, how / when do i check what my afr reading on WOT.
Can i read it at a stand still in neutral, do i need to be moving / which gear ?
If its a case of putting my foot down then how long do i hold it for?

i have an afr meter fitted.

floor it in 4th at around 3000rpm for about 6 seconds.....about 12.3-12.5 should be ok....5%6% co

Ive always reved it as hard as im ever likely to .. So if you plan to hit 7krpm in 5th then rev it that high... then check your afrs. If you dont already know Wot is wide open throttle.

I always read 12.1 was around the limit for these cars, but its only what ive read and i could be wrong.

just done this ,, it reads as low as 13.3 . carb should be oe . gonna change jets in near future

You need to richen it up by playing with the correct jet

you certainly dont want to be running 13.3 more like 11.8~

your enrichment diafragm may be stuck...make sure u calibrated and set up ur afr correctly according to manu's instructions!!

where is the enrichment diafragm nnot heared of that before.

lol i just plugged the afr meter in not sure if it needs setting up .its an AEM from scoff.
