Best Oil for Renault 5 gtt [Archive]

Hi guys tried looking on the forums but can see what is the best oil to use .... about to do an oil change thats all :)

i get valvoline durablend semi synth 10w40 5l for about £17, if you want to come pick one up tommorrow i can give u a deffinate price and order one.

Personally I liked the Mobil1 0W40 as the engine, especially the turbo, went better when cold.

yeah, id of been in today but my sons been sick all day and yesterday, couldnt really leave jess with the baby and him to look after :S

I normally use Halfords owb 10w-40 semi.....

I've always used 15/50 in all of my 5's & usually the cheepest I can find, lol, regular changes though if its a cheapy. I use 15/50 because back in the old days, circa 1990 renault dealers always stocked elf prestige 15/50 semi synth, so I've stuck to that weight ever since. :agree:

By the way Gibbo, your 5 looks beautiful :) brings back memorys for me, my first 5 was an 88 E in Electric Blue....the best colour by far :agree:
