Feels like my clutch is starting to slip slightly , am using the volvo valeo clutch cover and plate at the moment.

From posts on rtoc it looks like i need the helix 4 paddle centerplate next or are there other options out there ???

Would i use the volvo clutch cover with the helix plate ????

Finally :) ... Where is the best place to get one from ?

Thanks.

I think you'd have to ask yourself why it's slipping Ranj. Yours is a road car isn't it? Do you give it 6k launches everywhere using a load of boost? Unless you do it really shouldn't be slipping.

Re the Helix - yes you use the Valeo cover. Not sure wheres the cheapest place for the plate though.....

Have changed the stage 1 jetting and to be honest its coming on boost stronger and quicker .... have been giving high rev launches to see how it fuels as before it was misfiring due to high rich afrs .. so have been giving it some stick as well as 22psi on occassions. Maybe its wheelspining and not the clutch slipping ... only noticed the other day and could only test in 3 rd gear ... will go back out and check in all gears.

Am i right in thinking i should put it in 4th and lowish revs and see if it slips ???

Will fire a pm so i know just in case ... cheers mate.

It will more than likely be the clutch & if it's not it will be soon if you are making decent power. I use a 4 plate AP paddle with valeo cover, you can get them from Jaffa on here (look in the group buy section) I also had the same set up on my old car, 20+ runs at pod in one day on drag tyres, clutch never slipped once @ 24psi manifold.
