ive had a fuel leak for a while now.
i had looked at my fuel sender and it wasnt leaking from there.
but i found today that it was leaking from a piece of metal that joined to the connection on the drivers side of the fuel sender if you get me...

whilst trying to feed the new rubber fuel pipe down from the car i managed to snap the plastic bit coming of the fuel sender. little bw**ard.

is there anyway i can fix this? apart from buying a new one? and if not has any1 got one for sale?

will put in classifieds aswell.

thanks

i might give that a go. as cgb have got 1 for £23 and to be honest i could do without spending it.

i might take the sender out and drill the hole slightly bigger to fit the plastic back in then glue it.

also is there any particlar way to get the sender out?

and can i do it with the tank in situ?

cheers

yes you can remove the sender with the tank in situ
there is a correct tool i think, but you can make something
up,you got to be careful not to break the plastic around
the top, take a look at it an it should come clear what you
need to make to remove it,good luck mate:)

Yep - making the tool is OK - but it didn't work when we tryed is cos the sender had been in there so long, it was pretty much imposible to loosen the unit so was a waste of time. We resulted to using a hammer and blunt screwdriver, very gently, but it took a while.:)
