Removing a gearbox from a Ford Zodiac, then changing over springs on Raider so it can sit lower than what it is at the moment  order some POR15 to coat the underside of the car, replace rear quarter rubbers for new as they are falling apart and sort out oil feed and water feeds for the turbo and hopefully find a bit more bits to go in the engine bay :crap: its filling up quickily, dont realise how many bits need to go in that engine bay

i was gonna clean the car for next weekend, but been up since 5am with my son being sick(he's never been physically sick before) not nice to see he's only 2 and it really scares him. The babys 12 days old too so sent her off to my wifes mums so she doesn't catch anything. So.... once again no 5 time nevermind.

Well that didn't quite go as planned :crap: gearbox out by morning, stopped for bacon sarnies :D then started on the springs, my dad was helping out, managed to tighten up one spring, got the top nut off and removed the spring, then when I was just checking the top mounts the spring compressor decided to slip round trapping my dads thumb between the spring and the compressor. Lets say lack of feeling in a squashed thumb and me trying to work out how to get his thumb out their, finally managed to spin the spring round so I can get to the other side and just pulled the coils together so it didn't push onto his thumb and managed to remove his thum that way. Lots of blood and lack of skin and feeling for a few hours, helped him out stripping more bits of the consul as thats getting a full body restore. Springs seem same as old lot so that didn't help the situation :(

I was bored so thought id have a go at a bit of alloy polishing.
ive never done this before but heres how its going.
i grinded off the volvo intercooler turbo writing, and began sanding started with a 80 grit & worked my way up, its obviously no where near finnished, but im pleased with the way its looking.
i need some help though i need some sort of sanding tool to get it to the small hard to reach areas. im a cheap skate though so just thinking maybee some sort of attachment for my battery drill, can anyone point me in the right direction please ;)

Put the white Clio shell on axle stands. Matt and I started stripping the old chopped up looms out and replace with good ones, then work out what's needed for the next time it's worked on

I have some of those dremel bits, they can be a bit fragile. I bought a polishing kit from ebay, tried it on some knackered wheels and worked a treat. the pack i bought came with 3 different grade wheels, but also some points which would work. Similar to the below.

Might go and take the intake manifold off before doing anything else ;)

My car always works, faultlessly, sooo...

I sat in my boxers until 3pm when I got a call to go down the pub for 4pm to watch the football. I had beers at the pub, invited the people I liked back to the gaff, had more beers. however, it seems i'm the only person not working tomorrow, so i'm sat alone now... Not in my boxers:(

I may have a reliable car, but I don't spend my Sunday working on it, who's to say i'm not fitting my new cams and other bits tomorrow? If the thread was ''Monday plans'', I'd have a bit more to say:D

Condescending boyfriend mode, off!!
