Try swapping the wires round on the two pin plug that goes to the alternator?

I realise that it sounds silly, and to be fair i am very drunk, but from what i can remember a few people have had issues with the new wiring harnesses. That plug is the type that you can open. If everything else is wired to where it is suppose to be correctly, give it a go and see what happens.

I bought a brand new loom from Renault an the wires (purple an yellow??? correct me if im wrong) were fitted the wrong way round in my alternator plug. But this was causing the opposite to your problem, a permanent battery light.
