Forged Pistons and standard rods

How many people run forged pistons and standard rods?

Reason i ask is the money for the forged rods is an awful lot, and i dont think i really need them.. pistons i have as it was a good deal, so being able to fit standard rods to them would be good.

is this possible?

Its possible but you have to have the gudgen pin end of the rod sleaved so the floating pin can be fitted.

Or you could use the standard renault wrist pins, but that makes it pretty impossible to pull the pistons off if you kill a rod, like I did. (that's one of the reasons I threw the whole engine in the bin when I spun a b/e bearing for the last time!!)
