motorbike insurance

Right it has come to the time that I am actually going to insure my bike now that I have finally passed my test, only problem I am finding is having a yamaha r6 for my 1st bike is a bit of a killer.

I have done some online quotes but the cheapest I have found it is just below 1100. Does anyone know of a company that is decent or cheap or is it a case of sit on the phone all day and ring round!?!?

700 i would be pretty happy with to be honest. Just tried them and I have to phone up as they won`t give me a quote over the phone. Oh the joys of sitting on the phone for hours on end:cry:
