Is it just mine or are all 11`s heaters really crap?

even when sat in traffic and the temp guage goes to 3/4 it still dont blow really hot, it just stays slightly hot.

It has a standard stat btw.

Would it be worth taking the matrix out and giving it a clean out?

simple answer , NO :crap:
you might as well replace it with new if you are taking it out .

i got a brand new heater matrix in mine and a f7p engine producing
muchos heat but still not good enough for bollock steaming :sad2:
i somehow think its the design of the blower tbh .

one other ghey thing about these cars is the middle vents only blow cold :eek:
