clio seats

hi was just wondering if anyones fitted seats in their 5 from a newer shape clio like 172 seats?
if yes did they go in easily or is it loads of grief
looking to update my interior and was curious as to what other people have got
any suggestions would be appreciated thanks:):)

I would say it is not a straight swap I run Mk1/Mk2 clio valver leather seats in my 5 I had to modify my 5 to make the clio rails fit properly. (Does not use any of the original GTT mounting points).

You could cut the clio seat and weld to the 5 frame but that just creates a weak point hence me sticking with the clio frames, plus the 5 frames are just to rockey aswell, if you were to cut and weld you would idealy need to do it so you can add a sleave over the wleded bit for extra strength or add some strengthening bars additional over the welds to join th 3 seats together

personally i think putting new looking seats in an r5 is criminal.

r5s follow all teh classic rules of 80s styling, straight lines, boxy shapes etc..

at least go for some escort spec reacaros or somthing that retain some 80s heritage.

had escort recaros in my last ren 5
thought clio cup ones front/rear would look better than two buckets in front that dont match rest of interior
oh well might keep it as it is then:p
