torsion bar 'spring rate'

Evening all,

Very quick question, just wondered if anybody had measured the rate of the standard torsion bars on the GTT. Have a feeling they are progressive so probably won't have a liner spring rate like a coilover spring but any pointers in the right direction would be helpful.

you could in theory tension up the torsion bar, by pre-loading it. they used to do this on the mk1 5's, and i can't think why you couldnt on a mk2. whether a super hard rear suspension is advisable is another matter.
