Ok folks, heres the story.. i have had new outsills put on my r5,,.. however today i found that a pretty small area (about 5 inches of the inners has started going.. , although its dry and appears to be some old rust...

Now im thinking about welding the affected area up from inside the car however id like to put somthing in the sills just to coat them with a rust repellant however it needs to be very liquidly so that it will get around the whole sill, i dont feel id be able to get in there very well with a waxoyl can....

now this may sound pikey, but im thinking aboust just dropping about a pint of used engine oil into either sill, i imagine from the fowards/ back momemtum of the car it will get around the full sill and hopefully stop any future problems.

dinitrol is top stuff, they give you a long tube to get in the hard areas to....
waxoyl is an old method now...i mean it just dries up after a while an leaves
a mess more than anything...try an get linky in a bit...
