I need to remove the door pins from my r5.. ive removed the wings and have tackled thrm from this angle rather than inside the car. I have the proper draped pin removal tool, and plenty of wd, and even a bit of heat from a small blowtorch.. had no joy in even getting to to start mooving.. instead it just snapped the end of the draped tool ..

all i can thik is a better sorce of heat to really get them hinges glowing.. any other suggestions ?, very long drift to get in there and maybe get them shifting ?

did you hit the drill bit or did you actually drill them out ?

i hit the drill bit, with the top pin i hit it up and with the bottom 1 i hit it down :)

oh i forgot to add i put the flat end of the drill bit on the roll pin and hit the drilling end of the drill bit

ahh, ive been trying to knock them both inwards as i didnt think there would be room to knock them the other way.

i did find tho doing it that way the pin wont come all the way out of the hinge on the door (does come out enough to get the door off) when the door is off you could cut the pin and then knock the rest of the pin out :agree:

When we did it (me and my Dad) we used an old Citroen DS pushrod. Have you got any spare R5 pushrods? May do the job...
