whats usual size of intercooler pipe work

I have a front mount fitted to mine, and today i measure up a peice of the alu piping , it came at just under 2inch. ... now the kits on ebay 2.25 or 2.5.... is that based on the silicon hoses or somthing?

i use 52mm id silicone pipes, and 2" alloy tubing
