View Full Version : Driveshaft stuck on gearbox
I can not get the Drivers side shaft off my Williams gearbox... the roll pin was hard enuff to removed and once i removed it the shaft will still not budge off the gearbox
Ive tryed taping the shaft with a long chissel and a hammer to try and knock it off... but scared of damaging the gearbox
Im not bothered about the driveshaft... I would be happy to butcher it to save the box
any help will be greatly aprechated :smokin:

heat, plus gas, soak in wd40, pry bar, whack it..
or remove the boot/shaft and leave the stumpy bit on
Not to sound stupid but you have taken out both roll pins?
Most of the cars i've done have has a roll pin inside a roll pin.
Its been plus gassed and had mucho heat to get the roll pin out... more can't do any harm lol
All the roll pin (both parts) is deffo out... I hate them so much
I will remove the boot and continue the same... Im at point of wanting to cut it off lol
Persuade it off with a hammer, i had a similar experience in the past.
remove the inner boot along with 3/4 s of the shaft than
try some sort of PMT setup to push the remaining end off the
gearbox using some reno jacks etc :smokin::smokin:
