First post!

Does anybody know the Brake Bleed nipple thred size on the rear Bexdix caliper on R 5 GT TURBO phII as about to order some speed bleaders but no1 seems to know the SIZE ?

It seems like nobody knows as no info. on the entire net. Already tried Renault main dealers / Peugeot + Citroen / KTEC / CGB they all stock standard bleed nipple's but have no idea of size.. [D,D]

GOODRIGE do the following sizes -- BUT which 1 for the 5?
6 x 1mm
7 x 1mm
8 x 1.25mm
10 x 1.25mm
10 x 1mm

Many Thanks :agree:

The front and rear bleed nipples are definitely the same size on standard 5 GTT calipers.
Anyway I have just spoken to BIGRED who specialise in calipers who ALSO recon it’s 7 x 1mm - so will order a set tomorrow morning & hope for the best.

Thanks  :smokin:

I'm sure my fronts were M8 x 1.25 but there are different calipers so could be either.

Why not just buy 4 of each? they only cost coppers.

No, No, No, I think we have all missed the point I only contacted BIG RED to get the SIZE [THEY QUOTED our ref 880053 M7 X 1]. I am actually after the SPEED BLEEDER nipples which cost £8-34p each from demon tweeks & that is why the size was important before ordering. :smokin:

Perfect Solution To A Tedious Job / Replaces Existing Bleed Nipples / one-Way Valve Stops Air Re-Entering System / Quick And Easy To Use / Fit And Forget..

The Goodridge 'Speed Bleeder' is the perfect solution for eliminating the tedious, time consuming and repetitive job of bleeding brake systems, by simply replacing the existing bleed nipples. Their unique design incorporates a one way valve preventing air entering back into the system and eliminates the repetitive process of tightening and un-tightening...simply un-tighten the 'Speed Bleeder' 1/4 of a turn and pump the brake lever/pedal until the system is free of air and tighten!

Surely for the extra cost associated with buying the speed bleeders you could buy some half decent brake bleeding tool which could then be used on multiple vehicles rather than just benefiting the 5?

I have 2 genuine R5 bleed nipples still in the packet if you need them
