There is way but to tell it step by step i'd be here for while writing it out!

Basically you need to remove head, undo engine mount on drivers side then when you got all timing cover off lift engine so when you pull cam out it'll pop through the anti perc fan hole in inner wing so it'll clear engine and be lifted out car.

dont have a guide but if yoy undoo the front engine mount and jack the engine up a bit the cam can be removed by sliding it into the hole in the wing where the anti perc fan would be before you removed it:D

The anti perc fan hole in the inner wing is your friend ;)

I would have thought it would be easier to do it out of the car, gt tuning offered this service as it cut down labour time so was cheaper but if you're doing it yourself I'd do it engine out.

They took drivers front wing off and perc fan out, tilted engine forward and slide the cam in and out of the perc fan hole, all good and well in an fully equipped work shop but I'd imagine it to be more difficult on the drive way

Obviously I don't know your mechanical skill level or where youre doing it

Are you not wanting the clutch doing as well ?
I'd have thought the easier option would be to pull the lump if so .It might seem the easier option to leave it in but often having the lump out on the bench makes all the other 'little' jobs so much less hassle :agree:

If you are doing it with the head off it's easy mate, like Mark says, remove perc fan (then bin it) undo front mount & jack up till the cam lines up with the old hole left, cam slides out into wing then. obviously remove followers 1st :p

I done one with the head on once when I fitted a 270, lifted the followers up & rested them up & slid the cam out & then back in, pretty sure engine was out & I angled it though, pretty sure I took the pushrods out as well :wasntme: Was a long time ago now, prob 9 or 10 years ago..
