Right chaps now that the stress and costs of Christmas are behind us who'd be up for another night out? It was a great turn out the last time, with everyone having a great time, some had considerably more fun than others, mostly "chatter box Jaffa" who insisted on speaking to everyone whether they liked it or not :laugh:
I'm guessing a night out would be more appropiate as almost everyone seems to have their car off the road at the moment which in my eyes rules out a meet.
Anyway my initial thoughts are based around Newcastle, Sunderland and Durham.
I'll try and run it in a similar format to the last one, so once we decide where and what we're doing I'll post up all the dates for people to allocate their availability against.
The options as it stands are as follows:-
Newcastle
Sunderland
Durham
With either:-
Drink
Food followed by drink
Or just for jaffa:- Drink, followed by Food and Drink, followed by more drink
Obviously whichever combination gets the most votes that's what we'll do.
*please try and keep your options on one line otherwise we'll end up with a HUGE page of repitition :cooter: Also if anyone has any other suggestions they'd like included feel free to post them up and I'll include them i.e greyhound racing, bowling, romantic snuggles at the cinema etc...

Mr g, Newcastle for me, would travel to Sunderland, Durhams to far south for me for a drink, taxis etc :D
Dogs would be good, or what about a go cart day at teeside, then maybe a meal after?
I'm hoping we are going to have a rolling road day this year to.

When the cars are all running, how about a run out to the Lakes, or Kielder Forest, etc?
Yeah a run out sounds good, I think everyones aiming to have their cars ready for national day, so maybe sometime after then would be best?

I used to go up to carter bar on the bike that was fun, also runs to Whitby with the mlr good roads there to.

Good call. That's just reminded me that this year's ND is earlier in the year :crap:
Might not get the turn-out if people are forking out on fuel bills 2 weekends running :(
Could do the first bank holiday of May, or, as you said, just sort something for after ND weekend.

Had it. It was sold to Jimmy_GTT in Hungary back in Sept last year, and made it's way out there safe & sound to Jimmy's home in Budapest, but long story cut short (!), it's now coming all the way back :laugh:

Right Chaps,
First off apologies for the lack of updates regarding this but as a few know I went into hospital for some surgery on the 16th and have only been out a couple of days. :cry:I'm still not 100% but am making a reasonably steady recovery.
Anyway by the looks of it Newcastle seems to be the most opted for venue. So this leaves us with only dates and food to choose. I think this weekend would be a little to soon to organise so will start from the Sat 12th and run it to the second weekend in April (9th).
Same format as the last time, just stick your name alongside mine in the post below with the dates you can attend and next to which ever food you'd prefer. Hopefully we can get this wrapped up this week and I can pre warn/book the poor restaurant :D

we have had a FWT board meeting and have decided to boycott the above mentioned get together due to non attendance of any north east member that were 'all' invited to our christmas event that we put alot of time and effort in to..so all the best and see u in 2011 somewhere........................ :cooter:
