Cadwell Trackday 25th March

Hi all,

I thought it was as good as time as any to get the ball rolling with another UK trackday with our friends at TrackAction-Online again, at cadwell park,lincolnshire on Friday 25th march.

It's an open pitlane format trackday,noise limit TBA, and I'm sure Steve will pop along soon with track time details and the noise limits.

He's also sorted us a good price again @ £125 per car/driver, £35 for extra drivers, £10 for passengers. There's also free instruction available for any drivers that want it.

At 14 psi on some new slicks the car was a dream..............i think it may of inspired too much confidence.....

Fanks gents and jrp...the first crash in 6 years........................its at Mark Fish's ,who has more experience????...... i have a bumper, grill, new rim and wishbone... and the bonnet and wings are cheap used ... the hardest will be the subframe and pulling it on the jig...............

the Armco is so tough..not a scratch.... i lost the back offside wheel on the exit of the left hand turn goosneck at 6500rpm in 3rd..........as i went too wide and onto the grass....turned 180degrees went back across the track and went for the barrier side on , luckilly only the front hit... i closed my eyes and braced, and opend when the car stopped , some how the car had turned another 180 degrees and was much further down the hill ........when i got out of the car i was suprised at such little damage.................

my old man has had a quick look around. Give him a bell during the week and have a chat about it. Options etc. 01279 431628. Or I can get him to call you....
He has the jig and has done lots of similar repairs, mini's, clio V6's etc... and lots of GT Turbo's!

Its happy and secure where it is though Eugein, so no worries about storage :)

If I remember rightly you have done Cadwell before on an RTOC day out....had a few laps behind you and it never once looked unstable going into the gooseneck so I guess its just a one off "off" so to speak...
Glad your OK and suprisingly little damage for where you went off...on a renaultsport day we had a clio trophy go off in the exact same way, ripped the whole o/s/frt corner off...recovery back to Brum even with a favour called in was £250...:ashamed:..

we can always fix your car ,,,but there only 1 Eugein :ashamed:...


also seen the pics of the BMW that had a love tap with the grassy knoll...
guess it was a dry track and wet/greasy an inch offline

very poor phone reception at cadwell....try the rtoc inner circle fone next time that works any time,any where pal......as long as u have the number... if not.. well....ur in trouble ;)

Mark Fish has given me usefull pointers , to get the car sorted.........a little elbow grease and money
..............ive the 1300cc TS to take on the next track day......:):) fun car to drive.....i only have to fit the new radiator and the refurbed rims with yokos... then i'm ready to .... rrrrrumble 90bhp......................maybe tooo much for me to handle though??????????:confused:

If the subframe is bent beyond repair, I'll swap you the bare subframe from my raider for 2 good cup rims :) You can take it all out and I'll watch :D
