Steering Rack

Right,

Took old Whitey for a drive to the MOT test station this morning, its the first time I've driven her on the road. There seemed to be a lot of play in the steering... I'm guessing it'll come back with either new rack or track rods required.

Whats the option on new racks these days? Reno or GSF / Eurocar Parts?

Any advice?

Check the u/j on the rack, they wear out.

Steering bush? I changed this and it made a he'll of a difference

yeah thanks guys i'll have a look, the car didn't fail its MOT for either steering rack or trackrods so its either my imagination or maybe a bush / UJ as you say... :)
