Another item needed for a turbo conversion is the map sensor.
K Tec at £102

On E Bay £51

Would i be right in saying that the map sensor on E Bay is exactly the same part as the one on K Tec?

Rich, if your defo going to the turbo route I would get all my parts from Scoff he does them cheap (RTOC discount) and would prob do you a deal, also he you could tap his knowledge with question queries etc...
or try the webcon/marelli 3 bar map sensors,(cosworth type) cheaper units are not worth it in the long run:)
You'll want to stick to a 2 bar sensor if you have no plans to run more than a bar of boost.
R21 turbo sensor, like I'm using on the F7P will be ok I assume.

I'm definitely looking at staying low boost Scoff, no intentions of rebuilding internals to forged etc. Would the map sensor in the E Bay link be ok then?
If it helps the part number for the map sensor used in the ktec low pressure conversion is 7700106886

I rang Renault today using that part number and it's £109 all in for that map sensor. What he couldn't tell me was what model Renault it comes from just using the part number. I rang the company selling map sensors on E Bay and they needed to know the model Renault too. So basically didn't get anywhere with that.... yet

And thats cheaper than the 1 in the 1st link :)
Aint bad price at all really, for your reference if you want part number for intermotor for this is 16826, company I work for can get hold of them but not that close to that price but more than likely in the region of £40-£50

Cheers Dale, it's all about sourcing the same parts as cheap as possible. Piecing the bits together to keep the conversion cost down is key. I have a budget and hope to stick to it :wasntme: :ashamed:

For the extra few £'s I would be tempted to get one from the UK as looking at the link I put up the item is located in spain and the postage looks a little cheap to come to the UK.
