steering rack ??

hi

I removed my old steering rack and replaced it with a new one and now my steering lock is stuck on :crap: could someone please tell me how i can get it working again ?

remove the ign barrel. the steering lock is part of that.
sounds like you have either pushed or pulled the steering column and things are out of line.

i have just had a quick look now and cant seem to find any bolts or screws holding the ignition barrel on :crap: all i can find is a little silver circle wich has no screw or nut so i can remove it ??

any ideas ??

lower ign cowling off.
there is a single small cross head screw under the ign barrel.
take the screw out.
key in the lock
turn to A (think its A) - its kinda halfway between two clicks.
then pull the lock out with the key.

maybe worth dropping the column too....

isnt there a small tab you need to press in with a flat head or something to?
so you can then pull the barrel out?

thanks alot to all ur help its all sorted now and yeh i found them little clip things u have to push in :D
