am i being silly and over looking something simple but i really can't figure it out as i'm not very good with computers!

there's a bit in top right corner which says edit details, clicked it and took me back to where i was before?

yes it's me being silly just worked it out.

you have to click on user cp what ever that means?

It stands for User Control Panel :)

It now says "Personal settings (User CP)" so hopefully makes more sence :)

You edit your profile in there too.
