Well I be jeezuz, you cant shut your doors! :)

Check the latches on the car mate..These should have rubber on them. When you close the door the catch in the door/lock turns and grips round the said latch/rubber. Usually when the door drops it scrapes away at this rubber and eventually has nothing to grip to.The teeth on the door latch just hit the bar and instead of gripping round it. If the latch on the car has gone you can buy these..Think they are only 2 torque screws if I remember correctly to get off.

Another option would be to try and raise your door slightly..Put some plumbers tape round the latch on the inside of the car for your lock to grip to when you close the door..

..right tried extra tape on both catches, the doors go right flush , they just dont lock , something is stopping/preventing the catches from going over and clicking in place...maybe they are just buggerd....

You will need to remove the lock's / door latch unit Matt and try to give them a good clean up and grease up, just done mine recently due to the same fault it worked on the drivers side but the passenger one the latching mechanism inside was not working and just not allowing the door to latch and secure at all (the sealed black plastic box part with the springs and cogs in) had stopped working.

If that doesn't work you may have to dive into that pile of OE spares you have got matey and try another lock mechanism

I've had the same problem with both of mine, i took them out and cleaned/soaked them in petrol till all the old sticky grease was out and then re oiled them with 3 in 1 oil (nice light oil thats never gonna go sticky).

All is spot on now:smokin:

but one time i could not think why the latch was not working,
