looking goood:cool:

I used Simonz "chrome" spray paint, and to be honest its utter toss:disagree:

Sprayed a few things with it (not just car bits) and it just seems to dust off onto your fingers everytime you touch it:D

Ill check what make it is when i get back home. I do know none of it dusted off on my fingers when it was dry.

could you anodize a carb:confused:

Anodising cast aluminium does not turn out to good normally, due to impurities of the cast

My old mans been on about soda blasting some of his alloy bits on his hot rod so we have been gathering the nessacary tools to give it ago and we are going to try it on a spare carb later this week to see how it brings it up. Not looking for a mirror finish though just want it to look like new :D

I done a matt black one before. It lasted very well. I might take the one off now and do it again.

Yep, just Halfords VHT paint :)
Not sure how hot the carb gets, you might get away with normal paint, I just had that in the shed at the time.
