i thought they were only for the torx type, my theory being that when you bang the roll pin in, it'll push the bottoms out or vice versa if you bang the pin in from the bottom.
but thinking about it the door would hold it in place but there could be clearence issues as it's a replacement part for worn originals, so a little bit of shaving will be needed on the door hinge for them to fit

would also like this confirmed as it may be easier than drilling and sleeving

Thats what i thought mate, now in the link below it states drilling out the worn part(pillar side of hinge) and tapping in a 8mm OD 7 ID stainless sleeve effectivly getting rid of the worn bit and then tap and new splitpin in making the hinge like new, i take it the sleeve would look like the splitpin but without the split, lol, where would i find these on net please peeps??

This is what i did to my doors.

Page 2 on my restoration thread.

http://www.rtoc.org/boards/showthread.php?t=11578&page=2

I basically had a torx type hinge on the car and split pin doors, rather than drill and shim, i drilled door hinge out and fitted the above shims from the torx doors. 4 per side as you can see in the picture on the thread. I then fitted a long bolt with a nylock on so it can be removed easy enough when the brass shim wear out again.

They just tap out dead easy, rather than re drilling shims, the likely hood is the doors are going to drop again some day, this way its an easy fix :)
