Scoff,

Is it possible to retain a given font type for each time you write a post, or does it always default to Verdana font?

How do you change the non-member bit to member (or whatever tag)?

Scoff

Alright mart man :)

Fonts, don't know, I think it always defaults. Would differing font's not make the page look a bit funky ?

I've just been writing some guff in the General chat bit regarding what members should do. This is all a bit premature since it isn't really live yet. I think we're going to have to let people join then manually set people to member, with an expiry, once theyv'e verified that they are indeed a member. I put a forum up where people can request that.

I have severe reservations about anyone being able to import user data, since there's toooo much that could go wrong.

I'll set you as a member now so you can test the site, and whatnot, see if you can break it please, you know the score :)

Cool :)

Its all sort of working, thank the lord :D

Now for the finnishing touches I guess. Next on my to-do list. Smilies (at least the list has gotten down to small stuff like this. the to-do list used to have things like "create website" on it  )

Just testing the site from a different PC, account, etc.

I noticed that the password is case sensitive too. that might catch out some of the "I LUV CAPS LOCK, YEAH, YOUR MUM" types :D

I also set the login to auto-load the live-chat like the old site did, assuming a pop up blocker isn't inplace.

Good point, I need to set a CM permissions bit so you can see the CM board, etc :)

Nothing much doing at work, I'll see if I can get that done, you'll know when it's working because you'll see the CM forums on the forum main page :)

Scoff

Stu,

I've installed you and Colin so far as CM members. You should now see the CM forum and have moderator rights.

I tried to 'add' CM permissions to a normal member account, it wouldn't work, so I've had to create a new usergroup called Committee member. It works fine like this, I'm just not sure what will happen at renewal time, the forum might want to set you back as a normal member account, we'll just have to wait and see how it pans out. If it does then no bother, its a 2 second job to click people back as CM member, moderator, or whatever.

Let me know if something doesn't work :)

Scoff,

Ive got/read your PM, yes everything works okay and ive got the mod rights etc, trouble is, i couldn't see an option to reply to your PM. I clicked on your profile to try and find a 'send PM' link or something, but couldn't see one.
Now i cant find a way to look at the PM you sent me again, i didn't make a note of the addresses/passwords you gave me..........help:confused:

Hi Stu,

That was wierd. Something got screwed up in the Committee member permissions list. Even though it was set to allow you PM function it wasn't working. I created this account, put it in CM status and sure enough PM's didn't work like you said.

I deleted the whole user group and started a new one, it should work fine now, let me know if it doesn't. Chris.
