my drivers side spring has just broke!!apart from reno,where would i get std length ones?

There are two types of springs that where fitted to the R5 GT Turbo, the way to tell was by the colour of the paint at the top of the spring, most common was green. In the past GFS have supplied me a standard R5 spring.

i put my kyb springs on and the car is about 30mm too high!!:crap:I measured the old one and its 300mm high unloaded,the guy in the car shop is telling me the one i got is the correct one(only number listed)and my old one should be 340mm..unloaded!!
can anyone here measure their old standard spring or their lowered spring unloaded please?:(

my standard size (diameter) lowering springs that came with my koni shocks 270mm If that helps

possibly given you a phase 1 spring? isnt the phase 2 slightly lower?

i cant open my dialogys to check whether they are the same(phase1 or 2)!! but they're all the one replacement.......i was convinced i had a origional one when i saw the green paint dab and i've owned the car since it was 5 years old!!it cartainly never looked particuarily low.:(

Had issues with replacement springs for phase 1's, seems alot of suppliers only stock phase 2 now and there is certainly a length difference of approximately 30mm. Nice if you want to lower a phase 1 with standard phase 2 springs lol

Apex lowering springs? Ive got a set on my 5 and i love them. Ok they are like 60mm lower but they were cheap. :p

I think it is from blue haynes. I've found this pic last year here in the forum. (or in the files section) So I'm not 100% where is it coming from.

deffinately an issue with kyb springs....i had to cut off one complete coil to end up with my origional height.....not impressed(however renault in la la land wanted €175 per spring):crap:

Had a look today and got KYB springs on mine :crap: looks like these will be up for sale and getting shorter ones as thinking its going to be sitting way too high once engine is in place :sad2:
