Iv read a little into carb tuning on a c1j and what I can gather is that some people drill the jet to 2mm is this the maximum size people dare go? I know it all depends on other variables. Also is it a drill or reamer used? I'm an engineer and my first thought was to use a reamer, not only because it's a much smoother hole created, drill bits often create oversized holes, iv got a few 2mm reamers or loads of 2mm drills if anyone wants to buy some.

I would definitely go with the reamer if you have one as a clean hole is the most important aspect when trying to get it to seal.
I have no personal experience with this but quite a few members do. I would love to see a full article on this as many will reach the limit of the 1.7 mm valve when upping the boost above 20 psi.
if you take it apart an drill it from seat side, leaves a nicer hole which is easier to reseat
