I seen a thread a while back about tidy engine bay dressings there were lots of pics tidy looking bays with minimal vacume hoses relocated header tanks etc but from what i remember there was no write up on how to achieve this look.
ive had a search but cant find the thread again if someone could link it that would be great :agree:
Also i think it would be a great help to myself & many members if someone could make a thread showing the correct installation for all vacume hoses, also how to fit dump valve's & boost gauges etc.
A thread on how to set up a nice tidy looking bay with minimal hoses would also be good.
Ive seen a few pics where people have replaced the lobster with a 90degree boost hose was wondering what happens to the hose's that usally goes into the lobster and is there any drawbacks to this set up?
i know this may sound like a really nooby thread to most people on here but im sure your info would help myself & many other members out ;)

i have replaced my lobster with a silcone bend, and have custom aluminium boost pipes. i had a couple of outlets welded in for the vacuum pipes that would normally go to the lobster

my bay

semi smoothed bay (would only notice next to another 5 i guess), relocated brake resivoir, minimal hoses on display, minimal wiring

i'll get a pipe of my top boost pipe with outlets tomo

It looks really nice, especially considering it's a mammoth task in the bay of an R5GTT

Yet again my bay is more about reducing as many pipes as I can so here's a pic of my setup, you will note oil seperator pot in pic this has now also been removed and now rocker cover breather goes straight to a catch tank. But the pics give you an idea of what can be removed or routed differently.

Not the cleaniest of bays but pretty minimal:agree:
