View Full Version : Larger 280mm disc's code / fitment
Hi guy's
I have the larger disc's fitted to my 5 with the extender brackets to the calipers. I need to replace the disc's, can you tell me a code or car they come off?
i think its a R21 GTX?
Thanks
Forget it, found an old post ;)
whats the code mate im needing some of the same?
Where are you buying form and how much captain? :)
I got mine from http://www.brakeparts.co.uk/
the part number they give is:
BDS5158 VENTED BRAKE DISC EACH TXi models 4 stud 285mm x 21mm £24.05ea +VAT
I found I had to smooth off the caliper a little on 15" rims but they seem okay now.
These are just plain discs not grooved/drilled as they're so big I don't think they needed other than aesthetics.

I am looking to fit some 4 pots, willwoods as per another thread, how close were the standard calipers and what fitment are the 15" alloys et etc?
the wheels are tsw blades, calipers are about 5mm from the wheel maybe less
not sure of the offset I think it was 35 or 38, I could space them out slightly as they taper but they're fine at the moment.
Do you really need 4 pots? you may want to just try the extensions first (if you have them) and you may be surprised :)
Been having a good look for these today
Basic £50
bosch £80
pagid £100
brembo £80
all for the r21 txi
