Just wondering how the r5s responcd to head work (c1j).. and if its a fairly simple diy job for basic port matching, and eghaust port polishing ? .

i did the head on my gt it's not as hard as you might think,:)

Did my volvo to, basically polished the inside to a nice shiny finish and i ported my outlets to the size of the gasket and smoothed it all out so the run was nice and smooth.

I honestly dont know how much of an improvement ported and polished heads are, some other members may comment.

Very enjoyable to do.

Very enjoyable to do.

It's ok to polish before the fuel is added but not after, ie not after the carb or injectors. On the exhaust side it's not so bad to have a slighty smaller bore in comparison to the exhaust manifold, it's helps with reversion of the exhaust gas.
