Its been awhile but i couldn't resist getting another GT Turbo having broken one over a 3 month period
As per usual, there are a few changes i wanna make and the work has already begun :)
After a nightmare to get the 5 back home (spending 6 hours on the M25 when we had the blitz of snow before Christmas) it was worth it in the end...even if it meant me parking it in a petrol station over night and collecting the following morning as i couldnt take the chaos any longer!!
Im in the process of putting a set of standard wheels on with the tints already removed-nasty, cheap film it was!

dont look a bad one :agree:
Looks good matey, would off advice sort the pipework out for the D/V they seem to have plumbed it into the carb top it needs to be T into the AEI vacum line, even better idea would be remove the d/v completely
Also just noticed is there a vacum line going from the carb to the turbo actuator??
Definatly needs a good looking over on the hoses side before you drive it matey otherwise you will be having problems
if you need help matey might be worth seeing if any local members to you could pop over and give you a hand with piping it up correctly, Marc, Logg, Markey mark are all fairly close to you and know there stuff and could possible be able to assist you:agree:
Is that the fuel overflow plumbed into the vacuum hosing to the AEI

Cheers James5, i shouldve identified them myself BUT thankfully a top bloke on here wouldn't let me go anywhere until he sorted exactly them vacuum piping out when he had a butchers at it :)
and yes.....ive already plugged off the dump valve and am in the process of changing the turbo and binning that awful Argos job of an induction kit! ;)
Thanks for the feedback though :agree:

That is a nice 5 youve got there mate
I like that, in a late 90s kind of way.
Definatly need to sort out the pipeing and get rid of the tints imo. Also not quite sure why they choose blue for the engine bay

Seeming that spring is in the air i finally decided, after 2months, to give the GT Turbo a good thorough wash and take a couple of snaps with the 5 now updated with them nasty tints removed and the standard wheels on (for how long i dont know!)
