is there any special requirements that having an external wastegate needs to work properly, ie turbo size or efi etc

where can you get kits from and are they worth the money??

you will need to use/design a tubular style manifold .

You can buy the external waste gate kit from Demon Motorsports for £165 posted and you dont need a tubular manifold as I use a standard one and it works perfectly. Look on page 3 on this board and check out R5 with external wastegate, thats my car :)

So what's the ups and downs of having one fitted, just looked at yours MADFIVE looks and sounds good so does it get rid of he actuator then?

So what's it do that an actuator doesn't, does it give more power or better pick up?

i think it is basically a dump valve for the other side of the turbo?!

it removes the air/gases quickly from the exhaust side of the turbo via a screamer pipe instead of all the way down the exhaust!?

there are many peeps on here who could prob explain properly :sad2:

The little penny wastegate in the turbo can only flow so much excess pressure through it. its basically a bigger wastegate.

ive looked at the ones on ebay, 69 and 99 pound by demon which seems rather cheap as mates of mine have paid 400 plus for tial wastegates, so are these any good and what size do i go for with what spring setting?

i've got a tubular manifold, stainless turbo gasket and 35mm demon wastegate with a 0.7bar spring, 0.9bar spring and a 1.0bar spring (the last two fit together for big boost)

i know this isn't in classifieds, but can sell as i've had over a year and still not fitted.....
