Biggs, you can have mine as a spare for your bedroom!:scared:
ou youngen, just stick to chunks hazy pirates
apple = headache :crap:
an unrelated episode of mine: last night I decided I wanted some more music on my iphone. I forgot I had to use itunes for that since, unlike any normal device you can only use that god awfull, overly confusing piece of software to do it. I load it up and due to its non-intuitave layout I can't work out how to do something as simple as put music on my phone. Then I think I've worked it out but nothing syncs. No error message, just the buttons I want are greyed out. A long story short it seems itunes has another piece of software called "bonjour" (WTF sort of a software name is that ?) which I'd binned from my system months ago because I didn't know what it was. If something with a stupid name pops up in my HJT list I kill it. I mean, why not give it a name thats relative to its purpose to save people removing it ? Que 3 hrs of me trying to install this lump of ****e to no avail. So I spend 40 minutes doing a itunes update, installing quicktime and god knows what else just so I could load some fricking mp3's onto my phone.
I hate apple and it's politics. Almost as annoying is apple's decision not to include support for flash in their ipad as if the whole world will suddenly rewrite its web pages in HTML5 because apple decide they must. I can't think of another manufacturer that would have the arrogance to do that.
you know what to do scoff.. jailbreak the damn thing to lower apples walls.. I do hear your pain through great device, just anoying when you hit an apple barrier.

Scoff, my deepest sympathy, you can have my apple tv to smash your iphone if you want? Our lass is trying to sync something to an ipod as we speak. Starts of ok but takes ages then apple send an invite to update the software. She clicks on it and it wipes off 3 hours of work!!!:o
Real **** e apple are.

I've got it, had no problems with it renting any movies, it's an are at times trying to get airplay to work but a restore sorted that out. Try restoring it and restarting your broadband hub to see if that sorts it out. :)
not good is it :(
maybe if the rtoc started a smear campaign against apple we'd be able to effect a world wide technological revolution and put an end to the sensless misery that consumers have endured for years. I'll get the ball rolling:
1. scoff
:D
Easy answer: Start boycotting Apple products :)
Ps, Android o.s phones FTW :D

I recently bought a MacBook Pro i7 and it is amazing, multi touch mouse, super quick, excellent design touches and very long battery life. Works perfectly with iphone4... Sorry but i am an apple convert, you turn it on and it just works, no messing and nothing too confusing!:agree:

Yeah for sure. I was going to respond earlier saying "Problem is, they make some cool hardware that really works so its hard to say no". I'm a fan of most of it, I just hate the politics that prevent you from doing the most simple of things and for that reason I'd not buy anything else from them.
Another example, I really need a mac so I can switch to a newer version of logic audio because suprise suprise, since apple bought the rights to it they no longer release a version for the PC. More politics !!

Spoke to apple (some chap from France), they have admitted that the apple european servers are ****e and dont actually work:scratch:. Its due to a complete underestimation of how many units they would sell and hence 1 million units sold later, has burnt out the servers due to demand!:sad2:
How can a multi billion pound company release a new piece of equipment 'as a hobby' ? Worst thing is not fully supporting it on release.

Ditto but, agree on the politics angle. That said, Microsoft can play a mean game of politics too....

Yeah, the only consolation is that you have much more choice when you run a microsoft os.

True. I bought my last PC four years ago and after two years of lots of little problems, it decided to dump the driver for the DVD drive 2 years ago.
I got a MacBook 3 years ago and it hasn't missed a beat. I don't have to worry virus attacks and it just seems to work. I have my drive partitioned and run Windows XP for the software that is PC only, like Innovate, Megasquirt and AutoCAD.
Like others have said, I'm a convert and won't be going back anytime soon. Also bought a 27" i7 iMac at the beginning of the year and it's a peach.
Interestingly, AutoCAD are releasing an Apple native version soon......

Everyone at art college loved thier apple products a bit too much! .....Like bits of tissue between the keyboard and screen on their macbooks. And they carried them everywhere. Like an obsession.
My girlfriend has a macbook, and it is a total pain in the arse. Safari crashes all the time. And I can't find a shortcut for copy/paste like; 'Ctrl + C / Ctrl + V' on a PC.
the swapping limits on iTunes would piss me off too.
'Dell' all the way
