as above, i would have thought that they arnt legal but can anyone else find any laws on windscreens??

Neither are rear screens but I don't know of anybody who has had problems with police or vosa

they're absolutly fine :agree:

for some reason only front and rear screen need to be glass, all others can be poly.

Why would a rear screen have to be glass?? The front glass is BS approved etc but the rear can't have any sort of laws against it :confused: isn't it got to be see-able out of and thats it?

you dont even have to see out of it, vans and limos cant, it can be panneld off. only windscreen has to be glass.

No idea fellas, just what the autoglass man said.

Maybe they all get around it as it was an oe fitment but that would be too obvious I guess :coffee:

Edit: thinking back to the conversation it's because they don't carry an e Mark or conform to bs, hense why the r26 can have a poly window because it has been tested and deemed safe for road use

Going to get myself a poly rear set after christmas, if the law ask any questions ill just tell them it was an optional extra and make up a load of **** that its a rally spec gt as the law round here arnt too bad,:argue:, for some reason though i dont think theyll be tapping around at me windows anyways, especially the rears, im going to have them "thermocurved" and then tinted limo, so theyll look standard anyways:agree:
