My Phase 1 didnt have a jack, wheel brace, spare wheel hanger or spare wheel.

I've taken parts from other Renaults and have a jack, brace and a hanger... however what size wheel can the hanger take AND what wheels in the Renault range can I use as a spare? Any suggestions.

Any old steel one will do.

Cheers
Paul

Yeah I wanted to try and keep it looking stock and leave some room in my boot for stereo equipment.

Also, any idea what size tyre was meant to be on the 13" when new?

Original spare wheel is 195/55/13:)

Theres no issue with having an alloy in the cage with 195/55/13, don't think you can go any bigger those. should be the same for a 13 steel wheel.

Is the spare cage from the gtt the same as the lower spec 5's?

Not sure I'm going to use a Renault 11 cage and if I can find a spare steelie from the same car I'll use that for now.

If you can't find a cage, you could try one of these?

What manufacturers do 195 or 185 55 13 wheels...we don't seem to get them this side of the world!

195/55/13 are becoming increasingly rare in the UK, let alone anywhere else. Guy's who are running 13's on the track either use slicks or R888 Toyos in 185/60/13. That size will be a lot easier to find. ;)

Is the spare supposed to be an alloy or a steelie?

They came with a steel wheel for the spare, but so many spare alloys around know!

I've fitted the wheel cage, but my Phase 1 OE rims will not fit...so thought I must need a thinner wheel?
