hi just realised when i rebuilt my engine i used the uprated 12.9 head bolts but only tightened them up to the original torque settings, will this be ok? or are you meant to tighten them more?? i thought they were uprated meaning they were stronger not because you can tighten them up more to make a better seal. would you reccomend tightening them some more or leaving them as the book says? I am running 20 psi on a hybrid t25 so there will be some fair compression.appreciate any advice thanks

i have always done mine at 75nm,and had no problems.

You'll be ok mate, i normally do the 12.9 bolts alittle tighter than standard, i do them to 75nm.

thanks for info will run engine in when its on road for a few hundred miles then retorque to 75nm to double check
