Full Boost At 4-4.5k

Hello all

On a 1400 gt turbo engine any ideas how big a turbo would be if its not on full boost till 4-4.5k?

im guessing full blown t25 maybe t28:)

Didn't realise how late my turbo kicked in till I had a look at dash this morning on way to work.

Well i got T28 (similar to 200SX T28) on my campus which use's a .49 rear housing and i'm getting full boost at 4k rpm, what spec is your turbo mate?

The cam and how you have it timed can affect how it spools abit too, how you got this set up mate?

as mark states id say its a t28 at least with that late spool up could even be t3 if its 4.5k ??

Not totally sure about being T3, if it was T3 i'd be expecting very very late spool

Best way to see why it spools late is to find out what rear housing you have on the turbo mate, where did it originally come from?

Hi ther very little known about engine and turbo,I have timing slips from pod with consistent 13.6 quarter mile with 104mph terminal.

The guy I bought it from didn't no much about the car it was idling at 2k and he didn't evan know how to turn the idle down lol.

I quite like having big turbo you dont come on boost unless you want to so its quite good on fuel:D

You got any pics of the turbo, might give little idea to what it is.

If your happy with how it performs then thats main thing. ;)

I would be happy with it,its the smoking turbo from ydays thread (oil from turbo seals) so unfortunetly wont be running it much longer:cry:
