To add to my other rebuild threads.........

This is rebuild no#4.:)

This engine is in my current 5 (pic on profile)which has been off the road for coming on 9 years!:eek:

the chap who i bought the car off had it sat in his garage doing nothing for 5 years:eek: i bought it and did the same for 4 more years up until now.!

Ive just finished getting the car ready to sell.
i had the car mot'd before i went away so as it is it has about 10 months M.O.T
it also has 6 months TAX .

i will put a for sale add in the classifieds section when i am ready to sell the car.. it should be long.:agree:

well done raj, good work again, front bumper looks cack {to me} and i dont like the rims but blimmin eck is that clean, good luck whatever you decide to do with it..:)

and NO ive never actually had a good/proper drive of a 5 to date:(.. never mind..time to move on.

im personally not moving onto anything. my views have changed regarding fettling with cars as i just dont have the time anymore.

but seen as you mention "Honda b16-18 powered civic". ive got the latest and the last of the type-r engines sat in my garage,brand spanking new with only 2k miles on it.
now this engine is going in my bros b16 vti civic.:agree: should be quite an animal once finished.
id rather have a little fun in other peoples cars as im just not interested in doing anything with cars myself anymore.

correct:agree: the front bumper does look cack. i didnt want it looking like that but somehow i ended up over trimming it:scratch: i actually wanted to keep the slats and fog lights but i just couldnt fit the bumper without the fogs catching on the intercooler hoses and the slats also where against the intercooler.

I thought this car and engine was the one you had all ready to sell but then at the last minute had the turbo trouble with? I don't want to bring that all up again, I'm just interested to know if the engine has been rebuilt again since that episode?? I thought this engine/build was all ok and ready to sell/go after the turbo issue was resolved?

yes its the same car/engine:agree: there was nothing wrong with the engine at all.
all i will say is that the car is producing boost after the turbo was sent back to the company that refurbed it.:agree: all is going well now:)

ive not yet driven it as ive got no insurance cover although the car is tax'd and mot'd:agree:

Smart. Yeah I know the turbo issue was sorted.

So this thread is charting the rebuild that led up to that issue. Not documenting a rebuild since. Phew :)

Get it driven, run in and on the market kid :agree:
