Sold a set of alloys on ebay last week, arranged to be collected etc. Went to the car yesterday to get the the rims, ( 2 rims were still on the car when I last saw it) & my mate has sold them on as he didn't know I'd sold them & thought he was doing me a favour !!
I know what it sounds like but it's the truth, I contacted the buyer right away & he's not very happy obviously.
What do you think will happen now ?

Buyer message...

Hi, wot do you mean there wheels are gone? I spoke to you yesterday and you said 2 wheels are of the car and you had to support the rear of the car so the 2 remaing wheels can be removed. I find it very suprising that all 4 wheels have gone missing. I will hold you to the ebay listing and expect to collect a set of wheels as arranged tomorrow.
Regards, Andy.

Let him turn up then and show him, I don't see what else you can do. You can arrange to cancel the transaction and say the item is damaged or out of stock etc. Clears you of any legal drama.
eBay is full of mouthy ****s. I have a dispute going on right now with one. He has my £100 and my amp.

What wheels are they? I have about 20 speed lines kicking around if that will help.

Cheers

As Marc said the guys being a :jerkoff: as you say you have told him the truth, refunded any monies owed and you have done all you can, I suppose on ebay he will more than likely leave you with neg feedback as that is the sort of ****er he is. Not sure as a seller on ebay there is much you can do.

Well he hasn't even paid for them so I didn't need to refund any money, won them last week sometime & couldn't pick up due to the weather, my mate (where the car is) sold the wheels at the weekend & we haven't spoken till yesterday when I phoned him in a panic asking where the fookin wheels were
Prob get a dispute opened & neg feedback, oh well..

I just cancelled the sale, reason given " Item no longer available & no replacement available." Hope it turns out ok.

I'd be pissed off if I was the buyer .Can't understand why you are all calling him a :jerkoff::scratch:
Not his fault in any way shape or form :coffee: Take any negative feedback on the chin and improve your communication skills :cooter:

Yeah, I can see why he will be pissed but it's out of my hands & at least I made the effort to contact him & not ignore him.

:agree: on the feedback side of things you can add your own comment onto the feedback that has been left, just by going to the bottom of the feedback page and click on reply to feedback recieved :)

well if he was a good buyer , an understanding one . he would relise things like this happen , not your fault nor your mates fault . i have had similar things happen to me on ebay over things i have purchased . bu up till now i haven't left any neg feed back for ebayers that have been honest and up front with me . :coffee::coffee::coffee:
