i've just got a thermostat for my car
i was just wondering which way to put it in the top rad pipe
shall i put the copper end facing towards the water pump?

the thinner end goes near the waterpump,dont forget to jubille clip the stat in place :)

in my inexperienced years I forgot to jubilee clip the stat. in place, worked it's way halfway down the top rad hose, had to throw the hose away in the end.

ive got it in now. seems to be fine.
as my oe water temp gauge isnt working how hot should it run in degrees c on my aftermarket gauge?

an in the end i ended up putting the temp sensor for it in my top rad pipe in an adaptor.

now i am paranoid that the stat wont work, and i wont be getting the temp readings of the water in the head would would this be the case if it didnt work?
