after using the search for over an hour i cant find any info on where the standard boost gauge is supposed to sit on idle
here is a pic of mine

when i switch the engine off it jumps up to the first marks
just wondering if this is normal
also the engine runs on for a sec or 2 after the key is taken out of the ignition
ps this is in a clio

cheers for any info :)

It's fine. You've plumbed it in after the throttle plate so it's trying to show vacuum. If you don't want it to show vacuum plumb it in pre throttle. :agree:

looks like your speedo needle is sitting a bit low that will give you the 10mph difference.this might help look at logg's picture at bottom of thread

it it just a case of adjusting the needle or is it more complicated ?

no it should be a simple case of adjusting the needle. i used a dinner fork to remove it then lightly push it back on above where you need it then turn it back to where you need it to be then push it on fully. if you look through that thread it will tell you how to take apart the clocks but it is a big thread

Starting position for turbo gauge should be on first mark or second, speedo should be somewhere on first mark towards top, mine were nightmare after fitted white dials and none of them read as before so just got somemore clocks and adjusted mileage accordingly with a cordless drill and couple bits of technic lego!
