My renewal just came through for my 5. Went from about £350 last year to £232 this year. Well pleased with that.

Must have been lucky mate :agree: My renewal with hic went up from £200ish to £330 for no reason! Went with footman james for £230 in the end :)

Also anybody whos after a classic policy, there are some very good deals out there fully comp. I could have got it under £200 with agreed value from a random insurance company i found on a google search, not many extras on the policy though but ideal for the occasional use. Best off ringing up aswell, best deals seem to be over the phone.

Flux just quoted me a happy £169 but want me to renew photos etc so I may as well get other quotes has anyone got HIC's number handy please.

What are they like with modifications on a classic policy?

I'm always worried about ruining a decent price quote by saying things like

coilovers
tinted windows
exhaust
turbo
intercooler
engine modifications
bucket seats ect ect

then the quote jumping from 250 to 2000:disagree:

hic offered me £570 classic policy, all mods declared, 3000 mile a year, £5000 valuation and trackday cover to.
