Having trouble with my clifford alarm it keeps going off but makes no sound and when driving it crackles and squeeks:scratch: Ive got to the point when im going to rip it out but need something to put in its place. What do you recomend? Needs to be alarm and imobiliser pref with prox sensors ect... what else do you think its worth having to keep the little sh1ts out of the car:mad::laugh:

hmm.. how many peopl would be interested in one.. theres been a lot of threads going up lately with regards to alarms.. thinking maybe a small group buy on alarms.

offers the advantage of getting cost down, plus more heads to fit them.

They all end up being pain sooner or later. If they are going to pinch your car it makes no difference. Sometime they do more damage trying to get passed the alarm.

true.. it puts off the opportunitst though..

the type who will be walking along see a r5.. know there a doddle to get into, a steal it to litrally blast it down the road and stick it in a field and tell all there mates..

however as said if somebody really wants your car they will still get it..

it was a good excuse to fit the toad whilst the dash was out

if anyone wants to know how to do remote bits and bobs on a toad i can do a guide or pm instructions etc if required

I could make it to dj's too if you fancy fitting one for me? Would it be certified if you did it? Obviously I'd pay :)

yeah 2 in a day is fine :)

yes and no for certified, i've left the place i'm certified against, so in theory no, but i always sign the certificates as me and i've never had a problem

as long as my diesel, insulation tape and solder is covered i dont mind helping out

the above sounds a very possible plan, What would probably be an even better idea is i could get access to my bodyshop, meaning it came be done indoors , no reliance on the weather :).. how does that sound.

i would but it'd cost you guys about £900 in fuel! lol

i'll bring the dirty dci up, that was fuel is about 30p lol

indoors sounds good, best bet is both order ya alarms and have them ready, then post me the looms a few days before cos it takes a good hour to prep each loom before fitting!

Would it be easier if one of us buys two and gets them posted to you, and you can do your stuff and bring it all with you? :)

markey b
23-11-2010, 19:18
yup whatever is easier :-)
