Alright guys,

I'm about to change the clutch on the old Raider as the release bearing is getting noisy.

Has anyone had any experience with the Transmech clutch kit as sold by Eurocarparts?

I'm only running standard boost at the moment and don't plan on upping it any time soon.

Alternatively has anyone got any advice on the best clutch to choose?

Go for a sachs if your only running standard boost, the cheapy kit may be ok but its not a job to be doing twice for sake of saving a few ££;)

We have been using transmech for a couple of years, very good kits at ridiculous prices. But i havent used one on a 5. IMO any other car i'd use transmech everytime.
We have a driving school of corsas and fiestas all on transmech clutches now.

Fair play fellas I'll stop being tight and invest in something a little better.

Thanks for the advice. :agree:

Same one as they have listed for the Volvo 1.7 480 Turbo. Much heavier car. I would give it a try. Looks very similar to the Valeo one.:agree:
